Search tips

1. To do a search:
   1. Choose a search type;
   2. Type in the surname (or part of it), and;
   3. Select "Go!".
2. To search on part of a surname be sure to choose one of the search types "like", "begins" or "ends". "Like" has the widest scope because it tries to match your input everywhere in a surname - beginning, end and middle.
3. To search using a whole surname choose the type "same as".
4. The search function is not case-sensitive.

Note: The search function works on actual, or normalised, surnames. Reliable searching is hard to achieve using the original data.
