With the cold weather approaching it is time to settle in, develop some new skills and do some serious family history research.
On 5 May you can learn how to set up a family history web site the cheap and easy way.
On 12 May there is course for new members - Getting Started in Family History
26 May Wearing the Uniform - two education sessions: one about the British Military in Australia in mid 1800s and the other about some of the volunteer groups who also wore the uniform for Australia.
Throughout May and June many of our Special Interest Groups are meeting. These groups are for members only and are a great opportunity to meet with researchers who share your interests. |

CONGRATULATIONS to June Penny who has received the Australasian Federation of Family History Organisations (AFFHO) 2012 Meritorious Award for Family History. The presentation of the Award was made at the triennial Congress, held recently in Adelaide. It was given in recognition of June's outstanding service at local, regional and national level.
